Supervisor, Engineering

Role Summary:

The engineering supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of order engineering, product engineering, & product initiative (R&D. DtV) activities. Participates in and maintains Continuous improvement projects to enhance safety, improves quality, reduce the cost of nonconformance, adopts lean principles and processes, and promotes customer satisfaction (internal and external).

Responsibilities :

Planning and assigning engineering jobs for project orders.Order Review and identifying new design requirements.Co-ordinating with Planning, Project Management and Com Ops team to complete engineering jobs. (BOM, GAD, & Design tasks).Responsible for on time Completion of BOM, GAD, Design, Change Order, and other engineering tasks.Sustain and improve Engineering accuracy & productivity metrics. (KQIs and KPIs).Provide technical support to Manufacturing, QA, and Com Ops team.RCCP Planning and Engineering KPI reporting monthly.Conduct IDP & CPP review meeting, provide feedback for the direct reports quarterly.Train and Develop skill set of direct reports.Support and Contribute to Engineering CIP projects.Communicates effectively with the full range of internal stakeholders—from associates to leadership— and ensures that programs, processes and initiatives within the business unit or function are communicated in a clear and effective manner.Capable of quickly establishing credibility, influencing others at all levels.Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

Experience and knowledge in designing & detailing of industrial control valves (linear/rotary), pneumatic actuators, & mounting accessories.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or statutory regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Proficient in mechanical engineering core subjects.Familiarity with Electrical, pneumatic, and electro-pneumatic control instruments used in valves.Communicate professionally and with accepted business ethics, work well with people in other departments and with customers.Ability to use a variety of test equipment and interpret test results.Ability to analyze the nonconformance and complete corrective actions, implementation.

Preferred Experience:

B.E. / B Tech / Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Foundry/Instrumentation Engineering.Minimum 8years for BE / B.Tech candidates with relevant experience.Minimum 12years relevant experience for diploma candidates
