About the Role:

The Oil & Gas industry has relied upon Caterpillar power for decades for the toughest drilling, gas compression, production, power generation and well service applications. The Engineering Specialist solves challenging engineering problems involving products, systems, and components using advanced simulation techniques and analysis.

What You Will Do:

Collaborate with development teams to drive critical customer requirements, develop validation plans based on risk priority numbers, report or in some cases lead problem resolutions.Manage and execute system simulations using modeling tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, Dynasty, HOMER Pro/Grid, ETAP or other grid simulation tools, and SimCenter Amesim or equivalent system modeling tools to present to stakeholders.Coordinate test hardware installation, commissioning, and decommissioning.Develop new validation processes and support field troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, or software issues)Implement and improve testing procedures, development and validation techniques, processes, tooling, and machinery to maximize product quality.Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.Monitoring results, machine and process capabilities and performance reliability. 
 

Top Candidates Will Have:

Experience in the manufacturing and/or oil & gas field Exposure and experience to HOMER Pro/Grid and/or ETAP

Required Qualifications:

Requires a degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
