**About the Opportunity**
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is supporting Sky at their state‑of‑the‑art Elstree Studios — one of the newest and most technologically advanced broadcast production sites in the UK. We are expanding our on‑site engineering team and are inviting experienced **Mechanical and Electrical Shift Technicians** to join us for an exclusive **Technical Recruitment Day** .

**What We’re Recruiting For**
We are looking to build a high‑performing team of engineers with a blend of mechanical and electrical skills.
Candidates with an industrial **background ar** e strongly encouraged to apply.
These roles support essential building systems across a complex, high‑availability broadcast environment. You will play a key part in maintaining equipment reliability and asset uptime, ensuring compliance, and delivering first‑class engineering services within a fast‑paced operational setting.
**Key Responsibilities**
_(Responsibilities will vary depending on background and discipline, but may include)_ :
+ Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical building systems.
+ Support critical infrastructure such as UPS, generators, HVAC, power distribution, switchgear, pumps, cooling systems, and associated plant.
· Investigations, diagnoses and rectification of faults on mechanical / electrical distribution systems, plant and equipment to minimise downtime.
+ In house repairs to assets which may include partial strip down or full overhaul and test for safe operation before reinstatement
+ Identification of critical spares to ensure rapid on-site resolution to system faults
+ Work within a shift team to maintain site continuity and operational stability.
+ Ensure all works are completed to statutory, client, and CBRE compliance standards.
+ Assist with incident response and escalation in live production and critical environments.
+ Engage proactively with internal stakeholders, on‑site partners, and studio production teams.
**What We’re Looking For**
+ Recognised mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
+ Experience in commercial building services, or industrial technical environments.
+ Strong understanding of safe working practices, permits, and compliance.
+ Ability to problem‑solve under pressure and communicate clearly.
+ Team‑focused, proactive, and adaptable — with a commitment to high service standards.
+ High Voltage AP experience on HV Shutdowns would be advantageous
