Job Title: Applications Engineering Senior ManagerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Applications Engineering Senior Manager with strong problem-solving abilities to join our collaborative team. Responsibilities + Engage with customers both pre-sale and post-sale. + Lead and maintain data for Policy Deployment Targets and Key Performance Indicators through continuous improvement and problem-solving. + Drive changes through process improvement and team development to support business growth. + Establish standard work to support business functions in North America. + Assist Production, Quality, and Engineering teams with defining quality issues and testing new products per customer requirements. + Schedule field service visits for troubleshooting, commissioning, and training. + Manage the budget of the Applications and Systems Engineering team. + Travel up to 40% to customer sites. + Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Essential Skills + Strong structured problem-solving skills. + Experience in employee performance management practices. + Detail-oriented and result-oriented. + Strong analytical skills. + Understanding of engineering documents such as schematics and product specifications. + Ability to collaborate with team members. + Proficient in writing reports and business correspondence. + Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various stakeholders. + Understanding of motion control theory and various fieldbus protocols. + Experience with multi-meters, oscilloscopes, schematics. + Proficient in reading schematics, wiring, shielding, and grounding practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Process development and improvement. + Mechanical and electrical design. + Experience in manufacturing engineering. + Familiarity with Kaizen, Solidworks, Creo, and project management. + B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field required; Master’s preferred. + 10+ years of industrial experience in Industrial Automation. + Minimum 5 years in application engineering, systems engineering, or design engineering with heavy customer interface. + Self-starter and proactive 'go-getter' attitude. Work Environment This role operates within a 24/5 manufacturing environment, with potential for more than 40 hours per week. The organization consists of 600-700 employees across four plants, focusing on process automation and new product launches. The team advises and creates production equipment and designs tooling, working both in the manufacturing plant and office settings.
