Responsibilities + Lead and manage the engineering department, ensuring high standards of performance and productivity. + Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems and components. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and adherence to timelines. + Conduct regular reviews of design work and provide constructive feedback. + Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Essential Skills + Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering. + In-depth knowledge of steel construction, welding, fasteners, machining, bearings, wheels, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and human factors. + At least 5 years of field experience in the amusement industry, specifically working on roller coasters or similar rides. + A minimum of 5 years of management experience overseeing a team of engineers. + Proficient in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Solidworks. + Strong practical and theoretical knowledge in Mechanical Engineering. + Proven leadership and team management skills. + Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Mechanical/Electrical knowledge of transportation/conveyance systems is a plus. + Motivated team player while assisting the senior manager in running the engineering department. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.06 - $84.13/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
