Collaborate with other Application Engineer Functional Leads to develop standards. Create control databases, user interfaces and setup of control systems based on project specification and/or sale proposal. Perform field startup and system commissioning tasks. Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers. Will be responsible for mentoring team members in their subject matter expertise areas. **What You'll Be Doing:** Effectively manage Engineering Team and the respective Team Members, to ensure Team and organizational goals are being carried out Mentor and lead Application Engineers, Senior Application Engineers identify gaps in performance and facilitate training requirements to close those gaps Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gain support of the engineering program(s) and keep them engaged Monitor and alter as needed the programmatic activities to improve procedures, productivity, and efficiency and ensure final project deliverables match Clients expectations Ensure adherence to functional policies, processes, and procedures Perform site visits, some requiring overnight stays to review the program with Client stakeholders and keep the relationship positive Develop and maintain processes as needed to ensure compliance with contractual obligations Communicate with other Managers and Team Leads to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of the program(s) Drive innovation and continuous improvement of Client deliverables and services Generate reports, host meetings, and present recommendations as needed to ensure a positive Client experience Maintain positive and professional relationships across the organization and always work in line with RISE values Coordinate in conjunction with Project Management to ensure scheduling of engineering resources is efficient and balanced Perform annual performance appraisals for related staff, oversee and provide guidance to Application Engineers in the performance process Serves as contact and escalation point for any staffing or delivery issues as it relates to direct reports, engineering projects and services Conduct performance evaluations and goal setting for direct reports Approve weekly timesheets and expense reports for direct reports **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate utilization of labor. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values. The minimum salary for this position is $126,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $130,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
