Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) has an opportunity for a Manager of Engineering, Mission Assurance to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Dulles, VA. The individual will promote professional development of the Mission Assurance Engineering (MAE) workforce and foster a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement. The Manager will also provide contract level support which may be under National Security Systems (NSS), Space Security Systems (SPS) or Civil and Commercial contracts to assure all requirements are met with on-time delivery and first-time quality.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related STEM fieldMinimum of 10 years of related engineering experience supporting a production environment.Minimum of 2 years of previous management/leadership experienceActive or current Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI at time of applicationU.S. citizenSystems, IPT, or MAE experience working all phases of a product life cycle.Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.Excellent written and verbal interpersonal, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills and confidence to brief upper management on a regular basis.Superior customer relationship skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearanceMS or MBA degree Experience within the Aerospace and Defense industryExperience working as a Mission Assurance Engineering Lead.Aerospace experience, in particular working on satellites, payloads, launch vehicles and / or other space flight hardwareFamiliar with Systems Engineering principlesFamiliar with TIPQA, Windchill, and / or CostpointFamiliar with Earned Value Management (EVM)Experience supporting auditsSalary Range: $142,000.00 - $203,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
