This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in drafting, technical documentation, and product data management, along with strong working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems. **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** + Engineering Systems + Independently drive engineering projects of small to large scope, from concept through implementation. + Participate in internal design reviews, prototype builds, and production launch for new or modified products. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support transition of products from R&D early phase gates to robust manufacturing implementation. + Participate in major process validations and engineering changes; author test protocols, analyze results, and recommend implementation paths. + Coordinate across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to align on technical solutions and ensure successful implementation. + Drafting + Design, model, and release, components, subassemblies, and assemblies per internal engineering standards and procedures, utilizing CAD and SolidWorks. + Coordinate design and drafting efforts, to provide oversight and standards compliance, to ensure that the necessary details follow established standards. + Create and implement drawing guidelines, title blocks, policies and procedures + Technical Documentation + Create Engineering Change (EC) requests with supporting documentation and drive through to implementation. + Author, maintain and enforce engineering documentation and standards + Develop and implement robust engineering standards, best practices, and design guidelines across all technologies. + Manage the creation of clear, well-written technical support documentation, including product renderings, spec sheets, and product manuals. + Identify and implement improvements to processes and workflows to enhance Operations ease-of-use and reduce variation. + Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) + Analyze business needs and requirements to drive improvements in the engineering-owned data within ERP (BoMs, routings, configuration, and related metadata). + Input and ensure bill of materials (BoM) and routings are accurately reflected within the ERP system. + Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) + Support and enable the engineering portion of each phase of the product lifecycle management. + Utilize PLM software to manage product information, CAD and SolidWorks data, and engineering changes. + Support product evolution from launch, through growth, to eventual retirement, reducing costs and maximizing value. **QUALIFICATIONS** + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred; other technical degrees or equivalent industry experience will be considered based on relevance to the role. + Experience in writing technical documentation and demonstratable proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred). + Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement and problem solving. + Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes and principles. + Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical content and interact with internal teams, external partners, and customers. + Self-driven and adaptable, with strong project ownership and cross-functional teamwork skills. **Pay Range:** $88K to $110K plus quarterly bonus Are you ready to join a different kind of company where our people, our culture, and our commitments are centered around providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world? **IDEX is an Equal Opportunity Employer** .
