Our Space Systems team is looking to add a Ground Segment and Mission Ops Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead support a small satellite development program. In this role, you’ll lead the Ground IPT, driving mission success while managing cost and schedule execution for the ground segment and mission operations design efforts. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Accountable for technical, cost and schedule execution of the program’s Ground IPT. + Ensures all IPT work products are produced in accordance with the project plan to satisfy the customer requirements. + Ensures all IPT work product are completed on cost and schedule. + Define IMS tasks required to complete IPT scope of work to achieve program milestones. + Control account manager for assigned control accounts. + Provide technical oversight and direction of the IPT for assigned program. + Responsible for external stakeholder engagement for IPT’s scope of work frequently collaborating with customers, subcontractors and mission partners. + Using traditional and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches lead and contribute to the development all SE work products which may include: + CONOPS + System Architecture + Requirements and Interface Control Documents + Mission and System Analysis + Trade Studies + Ensure plans are in place for ground segment requirement verification through the assembly, integration, and test process, including system-level test. + Contributes to conduct of program design and readiness reviews. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and scheduling issues and ensure alignment with overall program objectives. + Collaborate with multi-discipline development teams to ensure development plans align with operational needs. + Support the preparation, review, and approval of cost and resource estimates for proposals and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) related to mission operations activities. + Perform other duties as assigned or required. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education. + Must have prior experience in space domain and ground segment design. + Prior experience as an IPT lead or technical lead strongly desired. + At least 1 year of experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM). + Familiar with Cloud-based and on-prem infrastructure, networking and cyber security. + Familiarity with the following tools is desired: Cameo, Magic Draw, DOORS, STK, Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence). + Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required enabling an effective leadership interface with other departments, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives. + Customer focused, formulates plans based on the development of innovative new designs in resolving advanced technical engineering problems.
