**Job Summary:**
General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. GA-EMS' expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.
We are seeking a talented and experienced EEE Parts Engineer to join our Space Electrical Team and contribute to the development of electrical systems for advanced space vehicles and payloads. In this role, you will focus on the selection, analysis, and qualification of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) parts used in spacecraft, ensuring their reliability and performance in the demanding conditions of space. This position provides an opportunity to work on-site in Englewood, CO, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on cutting-edge space missions.
**DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITES:**
**EEE Parts Selection and Qualification:**
+ Identify, evaluate, and qualify electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components to ensure compliance with program requirements and industry standards.
+ Perform EEE parts analysis, including derating, Worst Case Circuit Analysis, and other reliability assessments to optimize performance under extreme conditions.
**Compliance Assurance:**
+ Ensure all selected parts meet program-specific requirements, industry standards (e.g., NASA, MIL-STD, or IPC), and mission assurance guidelines.
**Reliability and Risk Assessment:**
+ Evaluate risks associated with EEE parts and develop mitigation strategies to ensure mission success.
**Supplier and Testing Oversight:**
+ Collaborate with suppliers to verify compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
+ Plan and oversee testing of EEE components, including environmental testing, thermal cycling, vibration testing, and radiation analysis.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration:**
+ Work closely with the Space Electrical Team as well as design, manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of EEE parts into spacecraft designs.
**Documentation and Traceability:**
+ Maintain comprehensive records of EEE parts qualifications, test results, and risk assessments to ensure traceability and facilitate audits.
**Mission Assurance Support:**
+ Provide technical expertise to the mission assurance team, ensuring all components align with reliability and performance goals for space missions.

**Job Qualifications:**
+ Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; nine or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, seven or more years of experience with a masters degree, or four or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
+ Candidates must have prior experience in the space domain, including the selection, analysis, and qualification of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) components.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences.
+ Proven ability to take initiative, drive projects to completion, and contribute beyond assigned responsibilities to support team and organizational goals.
+ Must be customer-focused, capable of working independently or in a team environment, and able to work extended hours and travel as needed to customer sites or other GA-EMS locations.
+ Top Secret DoD security clearance is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
