Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Engineer Software - Test & Integration to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will be working with the latest technology to modernize software infrastructure production. This position will be located on site in San Diego, CA.
Essential Functions:
Work with a team of developers and integrators focused on delivering software products as part of an IFC.Participate in the software development cycle including design, implementation and delivery of build/test/release.Work with object oriented programming, design patterns, JMS, Web Services, XML and related technologies (i.e., XPath, XSLT, XSD)Work in a process-oriented software development environment across the software lifecycleCollaborate with team members on a regular basis.The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 0 years of related engineering experienceExperience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Experience with Java programming languageExperience with one or more of the scripting languages: Python, Ansible, PowerShell, BashExperience with Agile software development, object-oriented programming, software integration and testingActive Top Secret DoD Security ClearanceAbility to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR). This SAP/PAR must be obtained prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs. (Of note: SAP/PAR will be upgraded once selected candidate is in role. Therefore, candidate must also be able to obtain and maintain upgraded SAP/PAR.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with developing enterprise solutions for Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) in a cloud-based environmentExperience with Java microservices, Graphical User Interface (GUI) applications, threading, intermediate object-oriented programming, design patterns, Data Distribution Service (DDS) messaging, web technologies, Unified Modeling Language (UML), database essentials and SQL/NoSQLPrimary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
