Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, AMS E&S is seeking to fill **RF Engineer/Principal RF Engineer role, focused on Data Science.** The successful candidate will help design and develop data-driven platforms supporting RF systems. The selected candidate will lead the integration of advanced data analytics, automation, and system performance modeling to support the development and validation of RF subsystems, including AESA and antenna hardware. We are looking for self-motivated, hardworking individuals with a demonstrated ability to innovate and solve complex technical problems. **What you get to do** + Lead development of data platforms integrating disparate RF data sources. + Automate data workflows using scripting and programming tools. + Diagnose and resolve technical issues in data pipelines and big data systems. + Create Predictive Models using modeling techniques such as, Neural Networks, Regression, Decision Tree, etc. + Support AI/ML workloads using tools such as Jupyter, Bash, Git. + Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement data centric RF engineering solutions. + Perform data preparation, cleaning, transformation from heterogeneous sources. + Creates data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets. + Ensure data integrity, system availability, and performance optimization. + Support RF modeling, measurements, and data reduction for performance analysis. + Maintain technical documentation and standard data models across programs. + Provide innovative solutions to complex data management and integration challenges + Stay current with emerging standards in data science and RF analysis In addition, this candidate should have demonstrated understanding in one or more of the following areas: + Active electronically scanned arrays (AESAs) + Highly integrated subsystems including antenna hardware + Reflectors, Reflect Arrays, Digital Beam Forming + Antenna/RF Performance Analysis + Computational Electromagnetics, Statistics + Expertise in Antenna Measurements and Data Reduction, including RF budget analysis and performance evaluation + Strong programming skills, with ability to develop scripts and function for big data processing and analysis + Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite, Git This role is contingent upon maintaining a Secret Clearance and obtaining SAP clearance. **Basic Qualification RF Microwave Design Engineer:** + Must hold a Secret or Top Secret security clearance + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 2 years of experience in the areas described in the job description _or_ Master's Degree with 0 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience on lieu of degree. + Have a basic understanding of Antenna/RF Performance Analysis + Proficiency in Python, C++ and/or MATLAB + Understanding of query languages such as SQL, SPARQL, GraphQL, or Cypher + Understanding of machine learning libraries, and toolkits including: TensorFlow, PyTorch + Understanding data modeling, warehousing, and integration methodologies. + Understanding of Predictive Modeling techniques such as, Neural Networks, Regression, Decision Tree, etc. **Basic Qualification Principal RF Microwave Design Engineer:** + Must hold a Secret or Top Secret security clearance + Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 5 years of experience in the areas described in the job description _or_ Master's Degree with 3 years of experience _or_ PhD with 0 years of experience. An additional 4 years of experience on lieu of degree. + Have a basic understanding of Antenna/RF Performance Analysis + Proficiency in Python, C++, MATLAB + Proficiency in query languages such as SQL, SPARQL, GraphQL, or Cypher + Experience using machine learning libraries, and toolkits including: TensorFlow, PyTorch + Demonstrated experience with data modeling, warehousing, and integration methodologies. + Experience in Predictive Modeling techniques such as, Neural Networks, Regression, Decision Tree, etc. + Ability to work independently, solve complex problems and drive innovation. **Preferred Qualifications:** + TS/SCI clearance + SAP clearance + Experience troubleshooting RF subsystems + Strong understanding of Antenna/RF Performance Analysis + Strong understanding of Data Science Methodologies Salary Range: $84,500.00 - $128,000.00Salary Range 2: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
