We are looking for you to join our team as a Process Engineer, based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.

What you get to do:

The successful candidate will provide direct production support to IRCM System Processors, Displays, Laser Transmitters, Advanced Threat Warner (ATW) Sensors, and Infrared Sensors. This position reports to the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering for IRCM Processors.

Develop and author production documentation, work instructions, and equipment procedures. Troubleshoot production problems and apply engineering principles to solve mechanical and manufacturing problems.  Develop and design production tooling.Develop and introduce new processes and equipment to the production floor.Apply continuous improvement techniques to drive down costs and improve production efficiency.Work with suppliers to resolve technical hardware issues.Have attention to detail and high accuracyEffectively communicate, both written and verbal, with technicians, engineering, and management.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

Basic Qualifications for the Process Engineer:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Optical Engineering 2 years of related experience, or master’s degree; with 0 years of related experience.Experience in manufacturing process development, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.The ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security ClearanceU.S. citizen


Preferred Qualifications for the Process Engineer:

Experience in engineering design using NX and/or CAD and understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Experience in Six Sigma methods and data mining.Experience in Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).Experience creating process work instructions and/or experience working in a manufacturing environment or design.Experience with Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemsHave DOD Secret-level security clearance.

MANUMS

Primary Level Salary Range: $77,600.00 - $116,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
