Job Description:
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Systems Engineer 2 to join our team as an algorithm developer in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Global Mission Command and Control Department. This position may place candidates on various teams within programs such as IBCS. The position responsibilities include development, prototyping, analysis, and implementation of target tracking, target discrimination, and battle management algorithms; implementing algorithms in a prototype environment; performing comparative data analysis to assess algorithm performance; and review of the content and details of technical products. The qualified applicant designs, develops, integrates, documents, tests and debugs prototype software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to the identified problem space.

Level 2- 2 Years with Bachelors in Science and experience; 0 Years with Masters in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.Level 3: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science and experience; 2 Years with Masters in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics.Ability to design and prototype algorithmsAbility to perform data post-processing and performance analysisProficient in Java and PythonActive secret security clearanceAble to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in battle management and fire control research and algorithm development in support of DoD programs.Able to apply complex mathematical models.C2 experiencePrimary Level Salary Range: $85,400.00 - $128,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $0.00 - $0.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
