Join us. **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Engineer (Landscaping / Public Realm) to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the development of innovative landscaping and public realm projects. You will work collaboratively with architects, urban planners, contractors, and stakeholders to create functional, aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces that enhance the urban environment while meeting technical specifications and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to sustainable design practices suited to Riyadh's unique climate and context. + Develop comprehensive landscape design concepts and technical drawings using CAD software and other design tools + Conduct detailed site analysis and assessments to identify opportunities, constraints, and environmental considerations + Prepare specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules for landscaping and public realm initiatives + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, civil engineers, and urban planners to integrate landscape solutions into broader project objectives + Design and specify irrigation, drainage, and water management systems appropriate for arid climates + Ensure all designs comply with local regulations, building codes, and sustainability standards applicable in Saudi Arabia + Manage project coordination and oversee implementation to ensure designs are executed according to specifications + Analyze and select appropriate landscaping materials, plants, and hardscape elements suitable for Riyadh's environmental conditions + Prepare presentations and documentation for client review and approval + Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in landscape engineering and public realm design **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Environmental Design, or related field + Minimum 10 years of professional experience in landscape engineering or public realm design + Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or equivalent) + Strong knowledge of landscape design principles, materials, and horticulture + Experience designing irrigation and drainage systems + Demonstrated understanding of site analysis and environmental assessment methodologies + Excellent technical drawing and specification writing skills + Knowledge of local building codes and regulatory requirements in Saudi Arabia + Strong project management and organizational skills + Ability to work effectively in collaborative, multidisciplinary team environments + Excellent communication and presentation skills in English **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software + Proficiency with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools + Knowledge of sustainable and green design practices + Experience with 3D visualization and rendering software + Portfolio demonstrating completed public realm or municipal landscaping projects + Familiarity with arid climate landscaping and xeriscaping principles + Professional licensure or certification in landscape architecture + Experience working on large-scale urban development projects + Knowledge of smart irrigation and water conservation technologies **Domain Expertise:** + Public realm and urban landscape design + Arid and semi-arid climate landscaping + Municipal and infrastructure project delivery + Sustainable landscape practices **Additional Information** **About AECOM** AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
