We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer with General Atomics Systems Integration located in Kaysville, Utah.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Provide Mechanical Engineering services in support of aircraft modifications and system improvements.
+ Develop aircraft mechanical systems from concept, requirement development, design, and analysis to prototype and qualification testing.
+ Design and develop complex aircraft systems, system integration laboratory test equipment, and complex ground support equipment using SolidWorks, NX, or CREO CAD software and ANSYS Finite Element Analysis.
+ Assist in the planning and coordinating of engineering solutions including documentation, reporting, publishing, and making technical and other presentations to ensure viability of the solution(s) in an evolving environment.
+ Work within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment, interfacing with IPT leadership, suppliers, and other technical disciplines to independently prepare/status and/or lead the preparation of engineering design solutions to challenging problems.
+ Support on-site product manufacturing and integration sites.
+ Plan for future applications of solutions based on new developments in engineering technology.
+ Perform other duties as assigned or required.

+ Typically requires a bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
+ Must understand and apply engineering concepts, principles, and theory, with growing expertise in related technical areas.
+ Able to develop, communicate, and accurately apply new concepts; organize and coordinate work phases; and determine solutions for complex problems at the task or project level.
+ Strong communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills; able to work independently or in a team and perform complex engineering tasks.
+ Willing to work extended hours as needed.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Security Clearance is required.
