Contributes to the completion of assigned engineering tasks which involve the exercise of independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance. May provide direction to design staff or technicians. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Applies basic technical knowledge to analyze, investigate, and resolve assigned routine engineering problems related to hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. + Assists in the design and analysis of test fixtures and setups to support testing of actuators, high-load systems, and other mechanical components. + Sets up and configures data acquisition systems to collect and analyze test data effectively. + Drafts test plans and test procedures, ensuring alignment with project goals and safety requirements. + Performs functional testing of equipment and systems using standard engineering and scientific principles, with a focus on actuators and high-load systems. + Obtains and analyzes test data, ensuring accuracy and relevance to system performance. + Develops appropriate documentation of findings and implemented solutions, and communicates results to project engineering staff. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education. + Must have a basic understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory, particularly in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
