**Job Description**
**Here is what you will do:**
+ Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
+ Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
+ Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
+ Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
+ Identifies discrepancies in results.
+ Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
+ Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
**Client Relationship Management:**
+ Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, explain/defend work, etc.
**Here’s what we’re looking for:**
+ Proficient in the use of AutoCAD Civil 3D design software.
+ Working Knowledge of ProjectWise and BIM 360
+ Advantageous to have proficiency in design software such as 12D Model, OpenRoads and/or Microstation.
+ Advantageous to have proficiency in Dynamo for Civil 3D
+ Ability to undertake concept and detail design of civil infrastructural elements such as earthworks platforms, stormwater,
+ sewer, water and roads) for multi- disciplinary projects.
+ Calculate and compile schedule of quantities;
+ Keen understanding of standard specifications such as SANS and COTO. Experience in other international standard
+ specifications/design guideline will be advantageous.
+ Assist with standard setting and be responsible for quality assurance of products i.e. drawings and reports;
+ Compilation of tender documentation including quantities and cost estimates;
+ Report writing and presentation skills; and
+ Suitable related experience in site supervisory roles on previous projects (advantageous).
**Qualifications**
+ 4+ Years' experience after obtainment of Qualification
+ BSc Degree from an accredited University.
+ Registered as a Candidate Technologist with ECSA
