Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is currently seeking a Handling Engineer to support our Process Engineering team at our Promontory, Utah, Plant.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
Developing and improving manufacturing processesPerforming cause and corrective action activities to permanently eliminate defectsWork within a team for concurrent engineeringAuthor, update and review shop floor planning/move sheetsPrepare and present technical presentations to leadership, and to the customers for review and approvalPerform tabletop reviewsUtilize SPC tools to ensure process controlDevelop and incorporate process improvementsTroubleshoot production/tooling/facility issues and implement improvements and solutionsSupport design, checkout, qualification and implementation of new or modified tooling or equipmentReview and author move plans that utilize the use of complex handling equipment (Cranes, Forklifts, Transportation Equipment, Lifting Beams/Slings, etc.)Ability to interpret stress analysisProvide leadership and expertise regarding handling systemsLead handling review team activities, present findings and obtain management/customer approvalsDesire to take on special assignments to help other organizationsParticipate in mishap investigationsAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package, including:

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Experience with NX and modelingStrong inter-personal and Customer Service SkillsExperience with rigging, bridge and mobile cranesPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
