As a Electronics Engineer – Level 4 located in Gilbert, AZ, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.
You will have the opportunity to design, develop, and execute test procedures and automated test scripts using spacecraft commands, telemetry, and electrical ground support equipment. The ideal candidate has system level test experience working with spacecraft flight hardware and good computer skills. Daily responsibilities will require I&T test preparation leading to direct contact with satellite and space flight hardware. Candidate must be able to tackle issues utilizing skills obtained in the field of electrical engineering, or a related discipline, preferably as it relates to system level integration and test. Required skills include the ability to communicate clearly, and to use critical thinking in troubleshoot of problems. The ability to use a scripting language and formulate automated test scripts is highly desirable. International travel to support launch campaigns may be required. Shift and weekend work to support testing will be required periodically.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
General frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniquesDevelop I&T test procedures, specifications, and test limitsExecute I&T testing, monitor tests per specification, troubleshoot, and document all test activitiesDemonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasksUnderstands NG test engineering practices and principlesUnderstands both electrical circuits and software within the flight hardware and EGSESupports EGSE and flight hardware test/troubleshooting efforts and ability to perform this tasking with little to no oversight from another Electrical EngineerFully grasps escalation plan when test errors are encountered and understands when to proceed per NG/program process. Participates in anomaly resolution process while offering technical solutions for FRB approval.Travel and support different shifts when requiredProvides solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assignedHas technical insight and experience to know if test set-up and results make senseAbility to establish and maintain infrequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.Coordinates with ITEE team lead, electrical technicians, and I&T managers to complete tasking. May participate, prepare, and present material in program review boards (PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, FRBs, etc).Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering (or STEM equivalent) with 8 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree with 6 years of related engineering experience. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearanceDemonstrate ability to learn and integrate new programming languages based off previous experiencePreferred Qualifications:

Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
