This role as an Engineer Electronics demands a combination of hardware and software expertise, practical experience with DC, analog, digital, or RF test and measurement equipment, and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting complex electronic systems. Team members collaborate closely with various specialists, including test technicians, robotics engineers, electronics design engineers, and radar subject matter experts.

Understanding design to cost, scope, and scheduleTest Requirements definitionDesign of flexible Hardware & Software test solutions together with a team of expertsManufacturing support during the hardware build processIntegration of Hardware & Software into a functioning systemCertification with the Quality & Mission Assurance organizationsSystem deployment and factory supportSoftware maintenance and / or Hardware refresh initiatives**This opening can be filled at a level 3 OR 4.

**This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance.

Basic Qualifications Principal Engineer Electronics:

You must satisfy one of the following education/experience criteria to be considered for this position:

Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 2 years’ experience, Master's degree in STEM with 0 years’ experience. An additional 4 years’ experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.

The ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics and block diagrams

Mix of hardware and software skills

Experience in text-based programming (e.g. C /C++)

Background and working knowledge in RF, digital and power theory and concepts

Effective verbal and written communication

Experience with test & measurement equipment

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Engineering or related STEM disciplineTest design and integration backgroundAbility to multi-task and work with minimal direction and guidanceProgramming experience with National Instruments Test Stand, LabWindows CVI, C, C++, C#, Python.Active Secret clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
