The Job:
The Product Development Engineer is responsible for leading the design and development of new hand operated and automated power tools for the industrial market. Tools will include corded, and battery powered precision torque drivers developed for our Stanley Assembly Technologies group and hydraulic, pneumatic and battery powered riveting tools for our industrial group. Primary responsibilities will include overseeing the product development process for core products and managing all aspects of advanced development projects through production release. Individuals will drive the advancement of core competencies, design best practices and knowledge-based engineering while incorporating these principles into new designs.
You’ll get to:
Identify and convert the product specifications into hardware requirements by interacting with Project leaders, software development team, customer support department and marketing team.Simulation: Knowledge of LTspice/Pspice simulation (Matlab would be an additional plus)Own the board layout, working with Mechanical Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Project Leaders to ensure designs are on schedule with high quality and reliability.PCB design & manufacturing for simple to complex PCB including Digital, Analog & Mixed Signal technology.Managing and Designing PCB designs range from 2-10 layers with flat & hierarchical schematics.Coordinating with external vendors for prototyping, mass production and supply chain related issues.Complete documentation package including Circuit analysis, simulations, DFM, BOM, layout, fabrication & assembly drawings, ability to generate CAD 3D models.Board bring up, Power bring up and testing with Lab equipment’s like Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, DMM, Logic analyzer etc.The Person:

You also have:
5+ years of experience as a Hardware Design Engineer.BS/BE/BTECH or MS/MTECH/ME in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Identify and convert the product specifications into hardware requirements by interacting with software development team, customer support department and marketing team.Strong fundamentals in Analog & Digital circuit design using ADC, DAC, Op-amps, BJTs, MOSFETS, IGBTS, Sensors, Signal Conditioning circuits, Active/Passive Filters, FPGA, logic gates, flip-flops, microcontroller/ Microprocessors.Proven ability to design and develop electronic hardware, component selection, obsolescence management2+ years of Experience in Schematic creation, Library creation, setting ERC/DRC rules, PCB layout design using Altium Designer v21 or aboveExpertise with simulation and circuit analysis using excel spreadsheet, LTSpice and PSpice (or equivalents)Managing and Designing Schematic with flat & hierarchical schematics.Knowledge of good layout practices (part placement, cross talk, signal integrity, controlled impedance, high speed differential signaling, power distribution, etc.) for layers ranging from 2-10 layers.Knowledge of EMI/EMC, signal integrity & power integrityStrong knowledge of Communication protocols like SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, Wireless etc.Knowledge of documentation package including Circuit analysis, simulations, DFM, WCCA, Derating analysis, BOM, Gerber, ODB++, fabrication & assembly drawings.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence the organization and to communicate effectively with internal and external customersHands of experience with Lab tools and equipment like MSO, DSO, DMM, Spectrum analyzer, data logger, function generator, logic analyzer, electronic load, power supply etc.And More:
