Job Description/Responsibilities:
As an electrical engineer within the Electrical Engineering group in Northrop Grumman’s Fuzing and Warheads unit, your responsibilities will be an individual technical contributor on various product development or production programs as well as internal research and development projects. The primary focus of the position is research, design, and development in such areas as power conditioning electronics, analog circuit design, digital circuit design, FPGA design, and other general electrical engineering design functions. You will work with other engineers, technicians, program managers and administrative personnel to accomplish your objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Collaborating with a team of Electrical Engineers through product developmentConsiders technical tradeoffs, design requirements and program objectivesAbility to calculate and simulate design concepts prior to and during schematic entryLeading schematic development with experience in analog and digital circuit designOversees board layout and provides knowledgeable feedback to the PWB designerLeading and/or participating in the peer review processAbility to perform and analyze circuit card level testingWork with Business Development and Program Management to present electronic Fuzing designs and design capabilities to customers.The selected candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance. LEVEL 1: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringLEVEL 2: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering plus 2 years of relevant experience or a Masters Degree and 0+ years of experienceExperience in the areas of analog and digital designExperience in modeling and simulation of the electrical systemsCoding experience with computer programs such as Python or desire to learn.Experience with electronics lab equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes and function generators.Strong communication skills, verbal and written.Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.Ability to multitask and organize/prioritize job assignments in a rapidly changing, short turn-around environment.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project).Ability to travel occasionally to meet with customers and suppliers.Security regulations require that the individual must be a U.S. citizen and must have the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance to a level of SECRET.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in defense or aerospace industry preferred.Salary Range: $70,600.00 - $106,000.00Salary Range 2: $85,400.00 - $128,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
