Overview

Job Purpose

The Engineer, Enterprise Collaboration candidate will provide expertise, second and third-line support duties for the team responsible for end-to-end delivery of all e-mail services and surrounding technologies of ICE, Inc. and subsidiary companies. This position requires good proficiency with Secure E-mail Gateways and an understanding of e-mail security controls and knowledge of a range of enterprise tools and practices.   Candidate should have good knowledge of Exchange Online/M365 and Exchange 2016/2019 but will work closely with the Messaging team responsible for Exchange services to provide excellent mail services for ICE

 

Candidates must be self-starters and quick learners who are not afraid to ask questions. Performing in a high-pressure environment while resolving issues promptly is essential.

 

Responsibilities

Communicate clearly and collaborate with team members to execute tasks successfully. Provide Out of Hours support on an On-Call roster/rotation basisManage full life cycle of engineering projects; perform complex development work and provide recommendations to management on potential solutions to issuesDemonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of development areas and how team contributions factor into overall health of the technology functionManage and resolve a variety of problems within their respective technology setting and provides solutions based on best practices and existing precedentsContribute to team by managing projects and assisting other technical & product managers in the evaluation of product requirements for software applications; develops and reviews detailed specificationsFrequently interact with team and management to resolve issues or inquiries related to development; improve processes and procedures, where possibleDocument pertinent details and graphical representations of systems and flows for historical reference and consumption by team members, other technical teams, and managementDocument procedures for team member consumptionMaintain system inventories

Knowledge and Experience

5+ years of related experienceGood experience and knowledge with IaaS SEG’s such as Proofpoint Email Security and Cisco IronPortGood experience and knowledge with Microsoft Email platforms; Exchange Online/M365 and Exchange 2016/2019/SEExperience with end-to-end email delivery in the EnterpriseGood understanding of E-mail security controls and how to apply them within the Enterprise. Awareness of SPF, DKIM, DMARC, Anti-Spam, Anti-Malware and othersFamiliarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and Load BalancersFamiliarity with ADFS, Entra ID and SAMLExperience with management and automation scripting in PowerShell. Should be comfortable performing tasks from the command line and write basic scriptsExperience with the management and optimization of Windows Server 2016/2019 in the EnterpriseGood troubleshooting skills and ability to pinpoint root-causeFamiliarity with industry standard server engineering tools and practicesFamiliarity with ServiceNow and Change/Incident Management practicesExperience in the Financial Services industry is a plusExperience with Azure services and IaaS is a plusExperience with *nix operating systems is a plusKnowledge of Google Workspace is a plus
