The Calibration team is seeking experienced calibration engineers with direct hands-on experience in developing and delivering drivability emissions and OBD calibrations for internal combustion and hybrid powertrains. This role is hands-on and not entry-level, nor is it focused on supervision or management. Candidates must be capable of independently delivering production-ready calibrations that meet program requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Develop, test, and deliver production-ready calibrations for drivability, emissions, and OBD attributes on internal combustion and hybrid powertrains.
+ Perform in-vehicle and lab testing, collect and analyze calibration data, and resolve issues.
+ Support testing at domestic proving grounds in locations such as Dearborn, MI, Northern MI, Arizona, and Colorado.
+ Document and present calibration results to program stakeholders.
+ Ensure compliance with regulatory, performance, safety, and quality standards.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 2 years, preferably 5 years, of direct hands-on engine or hybrid calibration experience in drivability, emissions, or OBD.
+ Strong proficiency in calibration tools and data analysis, including ETAS INCA, ATI Vision, and MATLAB/Simulink.
+ Proven experience conducting on-road and test-cell calibration work, not limited to simulation or HIL.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
+ At least 3 years of engine calibration experience.
+ Experience delivering drivability, OBD, or emissions calibration.
+ Strong capabilities in data acquisition and data analysis.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with on-site work required from Monday to Thursday. The role also requires the ability to support test trips to locations such as Arizona, Colorado, and Northern MI.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.30 - $50.74/hr.
