Team Member- Mechanical

Purpose of the Position (Job Summary) Carrying out all activities to ensure that the project is complete and ready for commissioning as per schedule and cost. To Execute the defined project activities by ensuring the quality and safety standards.

Expediting the procurement and services of ordered item for project.

Key Individual Accountabilities To participate in technical discussions with vendors at pre-ordering and also subsequently with follow up to ensure the quality of ordered items as well as timely delivery. Coordinate with engineering contractor and Project consultants for completion for various requirements related to basic and detailed engineering. To organize pre-ordering review with erection contractors to prepare Technical Recommendation. To support Project team on Mechanical engineering areas for accurate selection of spares, equipments, machines & vendors. To ensure safety practices during erection and commissioning. To ensure quality during the installation of plant & equipment. To  provide  “Front”   for various  contractors  to  ensure best  utilization of  resources

Key Interactions Unit Management Project Team Departmental Team members Purchase Stores Accounts Vendors Consultants Customers Technical & Behavioral Skills & Knowledge B.E/B.Tech – Mechanical with experience of 5 to 9 years in medium to large chemical/ similar industries with experience in project. Exposure to similar chemical Plant Project would be an added advantage

Should have knowledge & exposure of Environment, Health & Safety requirements.
