You should have familiarity with energy management concepts, utility billing, and concepts around how to reduce energy and water use, increase waste diversion from landfill, and monitor and track new energy and environmental legislation that may be relevant to the client. **What should you do?** + Understand basic concepts of energy, water, and waste management. + Support sustainability initiatives like energy efficiency and waste reduction, corporate goals and targets. + Collect and analyze sustainability-related data and provide insights to the team and potential actions that contribute to client goals. + Prepares monthly variance and energy and water status reports. Monitors and reports on water use analysis, spending trends, and waste. + Adopt and learn the tools used for data visualization, trend analysis, sustainability metrics + Support implementation and documentation of sustainability initiatives. + Support energy, environmental, and sustainability training as per contract requirements **Essential duties and responsibilities** This role is intimately involved in 3 essential components to the team: energy management, environmental data (including but not limited to waste, water, biodiversity) management, & regulation tracking. The role requires data organization, clarifying and improving existing processes, researching regulatory developments, seeking effective approaches to increase recycling rates and waste creation, manage utility billing, and reporting out on all of the above. **Required Knowledge and Skills** + Basic understanding of energy consumption, demand, interval meter data, utility rates, + Familiarity with energy and environmental regulatory frameworks. + Ability to analyze government publications, legislation, and regulatory updates. + Strong research and analytical skills to assess the impact of regulations on business operations. + Experience in sustainability reporting and environmental compliance. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and apps similar to Excel + Knowledge of sustainability and energy principles and concepts, particularly related to the built environment. + Leverage reporting tools to their fullest potential, quickly learning system capabilities and limitations, and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance reporting effectiveness through user-driven insights and feedback. **Communication skills** + Written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to effectively present information. + Solid interpersonal skills, professional client facing interactions over email and virtual meetings + Provide monthly, digestible presentations and updates to client as per requirements with client + Strong English and Spanish proficiency (able to communicate effectively).  + Bilingual: English | Spanish | Portuguese **Location** + This position is 50% remote, 50% on-site.
