       Shift:        PRN Position (48 hours month required) 12-hour shifts- 7am- 7pm and 7pm – 7am,                                                        weekend shift varies

 

  Location:       Travel between four (4) and 10 Emory locations within Emory Healthcare Locations

    Salary:        $27.25

We are seeking a capable Emergency Room Float Tech / Internal Travel Team who Performs a variety of clinical tasks to better facilitate patient care by directly assisting nursing and physician staff.

IV insertion and placement of a foley catheter. Performs and documents vital signs, notifies triage nurse or physician on duty possibly critical patients, communicates as appropriate to waiting room patients. Conducts needs analysis to determine need for supplies based on ED volume. Monitors stock and supplies to ensure par levels are maintained. Ensures that physician orders are accurately entered into the computer. Answers phones and direct inquiries as appropriate. Performs other duties as required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Graduate of an accredited EMT or Paramedic training program.1-year minimum Previous Must have current certification as an EMT-I or Paramedic, AHA CPR, and AHA ACLS if Paramedic.
