As an EMC Technician, you will play a vital role in managing samples, performing tests, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of test results. You will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment and staying informed about the latest advancements in laboratory testing methodologies.
Responsibilities
+ Receive, label, and store samples safely, adhering to proper handling and storage procedures.
+ Determine necessary tests for sample analysis and perform them accurately according to established protocols.
+ Record test results and analyses clearly and accurately, ensuring reports are communicated to stakeholders.
+ Discuss and clarify test results, providing explanations to internal teams or clients.
+ Organize and store samples in compliance with safety guidelines to ensure personnel safety and sample integrity.
+ Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, recalibrating instruments when required.
+ Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and daily work logs.
+ Stay informed on technical and scientific advances in laboratory testing and methodologies.
Essential Skills
+ Experience using test equipment such as DMM, Oscilloscope, and Digital Phosphor.
+ Ability to review schematics and circuits.
+ Proficient in Excel, EMC, and CAN.
+ Associates Degree in Technology or Electronics or equivalent practical experience in a laboratory setting.
+ Knowledge of laboratory testing methods, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
+ Ability to accurately record and report test results.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures.
+ Proficient in the use of laboratory instruments and equipment.
+ Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
+ Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and other departments.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Willingness to stay current with developments in laboratory technologies and best practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in a laboratory technician role or related field is preferred.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position with 1st shift hours from 7am to 3:30pm, primarily involving sitting. The Novi facility provides an excellent opportunity for technicians with 1-3 years of experience to grow and develop skills, working with future automotive products projected for 2028 and 2029 vehicle programs. There is potential for advancement to a Project Handler role, which involves troubleshooting, calibrating software, and understanding all testing methods performed within the facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Novi, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
