Job Title: EMC Technician

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as an EMC Technician where you will prepare and conduct tests at one of our twelve lab benches. You will play a crucial role in setting up electrical and software data collection tools and calibrating data to ensure accuracy. Your daily tasks will involve preparing test reports based on the data collected from modules and sensors.

Responsibilities

Set up and prepare for daily tests at assigned bench/test station.Configure electrical and software data collection tools on a bench or in a chamber.Conduct data and software calibration to collect accurate data on modules and sensors.Prepare detailed test reports based on collected data.Review schematics and circuits as part of the testing process.

Essential Skills

Experience using testing equipment such as Digital Multimeter (DMM), Oscilloscope, and Digital Phosphor.Ability to read schematics and conduct circuit reviews.Experience in developing and executing test plans and data acquisition.Hands-on experience with electronics, specifically electronic control units (ECUs).Knowledge of EMC and CAN systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

An Associate's Degree in Technology or Electronics.At least 1 year of experience using testing equipment in any setting.Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow.Ability to work overtime when needed.Initiative and proactive problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a blend of office and laboratory space, with 1/3 dedicated to office use and the remainder as a lab. The testing areas are relatively quiet, focusing on EMC and RF tests. Each bench area is equipped like a normal desk, with a computer and space for various instruments needed for testing. The role requires full onsite presence.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Novi, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
