Embedded Firmware Engineer
Our client, a leading company in the **Oil & Gas industrial embedded systems and control technology sector** , is seeking an **Embedded Firmware Engineer** to join their team. As an Embedded Firmware Engineer, you will lead firmware development from prototype to production, enabling real-time communication, control, and diagnostics for industrial devices used in rugged oil and gas environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong embedded programming skills, hardware/software integration experience, and collaborative problem-solving abilities to support a high-performing engineering team. **Job Title:** Embedded Firmware Engineer **Location:** Cedar Park, TX **Pay Range:** Competitive, based on experience & benefits **What’s the Job?** + Design and implement firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers and embedded processors + Integrate low-level hardware drivers for ADCs, DACs, PWM, UART, SPI, I2C, and other peripherals + Develop real-time code for data acquisition, system control, and industrial communication protocols + Collaborate with hardware engineers to support hardware/software co-design and validation + Debug and optimize embedded systems using oscilloscopes, JTAG tools, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment + Support wireless and wired communication stacks (BLE, Wi-Fi, RS-232, CAN, etc.) + Ensure firmware aligns with industry standards for safety, performance, and emissions compliance + Provide technical assistance for Sales, Production, and Service teams + Support the production of designed parts and assemblies + Maintain assigned equipment and work areas according to company standards **What’s Needed?
