Job Title: Embedded Controls EngineerJob Description

The Embedded Controls Engineer will focus on developing control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink for various controls such as Speed Control, Retarding Control, Economy Modes, and ADAS operator assist features. This role involves documenting requirements, implementing concepts, production implementation, tuning, and validation using Simulink.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and design control systems using model-based design techniques.Model the plant and synthesize controllers.Simulate the plant and controller together and deploy the controller.Gather and document control system requirements.Implement control systems using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.Test, tune, and verify control systems using MiL, SiL, HiL, Lab, and On-Machine environments.Perform DFMEA and document test plans.Implement and execute test plans, troubleshoot issues, and analyze time series data.Report on test results.Essential SkillsExperience with embedded software development in Simulink.Knowledge of Autosar.Experience with MATLAB and Simulink controls model-based development.Proficiency in embedded C programming.Additional Skills & Qualifications2+ years of experience in MATLAB and Simulink controls model-based development.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.Experience with Vector Tools and Canape.Positioning experience within software development.Knowledge of Git/Ivy for version control and dependency management.Familiarity with Google Test for SiL testing.Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mossville, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $78.35/hr.
