Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

The work model for the role is: on-site

This role is contributing to the EL Smart Building in China.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Research and develop smart home products or services on cloud:

Responsible for the design/development of software components or servicesResearch and implement prototype of advanced technologies and applicationsDesign documentation, software development related test implementation and supportSoftware integration, deployment and verification on cloudOther tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)Bachelor or master of Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Computer Science or equivalentMore than 3 years software development experience in Java backendMaster the basic knowledge of Java, J2EE framework, JVM related principles and performance tuningFamiliar with spring, Springcloud, Redis, MQTT, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Docker, K8SSkilled in using git, Maven and other source code management toolsFamiliar with SQL/NO-SQL data base design and optimization, and master common Linux commands and shell scriptsKnowledge in Azure public cloud technology is preferred.Knowledge in IOT security technology is preferred, e.g. AES, DES, RSA, digital certification etc.Good communication skillsStrong logic thinking and systemic analysis competence.
