Job Description
The Electronics Test Technician will work with prototype units through production units performing a variety of tests. Working directly under the Lead Test Engineer will work with various hardware to support electrical, mechanical, and thermal as needed to support the engineering teams. A good candidate will have a variety of skill and knowledge to perform the required testing with focus on integrated systems.
Responsibilities
• Execute test plans for electronic components, PCBs, and complete systems. Modify said plans to accommodate for DUT varying conditions
• Help design, set up test and make modifications to fixtures and automation systems for accurate measurements.
• Test parameters to evaluate performance, durability, and safety across varying conditions.
• Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineers to solve testing scenarios and execute as required.
• Assist in failure analysis and root cause identification for issues.
• Optimize automation to improve efficiency and repeatability.
• Able to rework electronics systems as needed to facilitate testing.
• Familiar with low-cost microcontrollers updating firmware, etc.
• Report and interpret troubleshooting logs from devices
• Modify or create automation routines for simple testing using scripts
• Able to interpret industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., IEEE, IEC, JEDEC, MIL-STD, UL).
• Operate common and specific test lab equipment i.e.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and repeatability in measurements.
• Creation of clear reports from test data
• Gather information from online interfaces to DUT
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
Compensation: up to $110k (possible flex., based on experience) + benefits

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, a related field, or 5+ years workplace experience.
• 3+ years of experience in testing, validation, and analysis of electrical, mechanical, and/or thermal systems.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, DMM, Data acquisition systems, thermal chambers, battery simulators, etc.
• Experience with failure analysis, root cause identification, and reliability testing.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical models.
• Proficiency in data acquisition systems and tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, or Python for test automation and data analysis.
• Knowledge of basic statistical analysis concepts.
• Basic knowledge of rechargeable battery concepts
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities for test failures and system optimization.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and repeatability in testing and data interpretation.
• Experience with smart management of time-driven tasks.
• Strong communication skills to document findings, create reports, and present test results to stakeholders.
