Electronics Technician III

**Description**
SAIC is seeking an Electronics Technician III to support both existing and new programs. This position will be located in North Charleston, SC.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Apply technical knowledge of electronics components
+ Practical knowledge of Quality Control
+ Create technical work instructions for new and existing equipment across multiple programs
+ Skills in restoring equipment operation, evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance
+ Review existing process risks, and implement process improvements with the goal to exceed performance objectives and reduce costs and schedule
+ Some practical knowledge of science or engineering
+ Candidate will repair, troubleshoot, modify and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication); personal and main frame computers and terminals
+ May monitor and verify quality in accordance with established processes or other control procedures
**Qualifications**
**REQUIRED EDUCATION:**
+ High school education or equivalent (GED) and five (8) years related experience.
**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:**
+ Candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance
+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
+ Ability to read and interpret TDP and mechanical drawings
+ Troubleshooting of computer systems and networks
+ Experience replacing components, repairing simple electronic equipment; and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters
+ Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
+ Strong communication skills including; technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal
+ Organization and Time Management Skills
**DESIRED SKILLS:**
+ Knowledge of MIL-STD-31000, Department of Defense (DoD) and industry documentation standards for Engineering and Design
+ Strong technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
+ Candidate must have the ability to operate effectively in a team environment and able to receive direction, and take constructive criticism
