**Job Title: Electronics Testing Technician** **Job Description**
The Electronics Testing Technician plays a critical role in ensuring electronic products meet established standards through comprehensive testing and documentation. This position requires a strong understanding of test protocols, quality procedures, and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced laboratory environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Initiate electronic tests, acquire data, and accurately document all results in accordance with laboratory quality policies.
+ Interpret test outcomes, maintain detailed records, and collaborate with engineers to support root cause analysis and develop alternative solutions.
+ Handle and transport product samples between the test area, preparation zone, and storage facilities.
+ Validate and maintain laboratory hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and compliance with testing standards.
+ Provide training and guidance to new personnel, including technicians, engineers, and interns, fostering a knowledgeable and efficient team.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficient in electronics and electronic testing.
+ Strong understanding of test equipment and instrumentation, such as coupling/decoupling networks, signal generators, surge generators, power meters, and antennas.
+ Ability to troubleshoot test setups, confirm accuracy requirements, and perform routine validation procedures.
+ Experience with electrical and computer applications.
+ Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in electronic testing, with a focus on safety, energy, and EMI testing.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Preferred knowledge of appliance or consumer electronics platforms and models, including their operation and typical failure modes.
+ Experience performing hi-pot and current leakage tests across multiple product lines.
+ Capable of working with minimal supervision, displaying strong attention to detail and effective time management skills to multitask and meet deadlines.

**Work Environment**
The role is based in a fast-paced laboratory environment located on a large manufacturing campus. The technician will work onsite, utilizing advanced testing equipment and adhering to quality procedures to ensure optimal performance and compliance with testing standards.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
