Job Description
We are seeking a Wire Harness Assembly Technician who will be responsible for constructing wire harnesses for a new product and aiding in the development of improved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role involves manual data documentation and collaboration with the development team to enhance process efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesBuild wire harnesses according to technical specifications, connecting wires, cables, and connectors.Inspect completed wire harnesses for quality assurance, ensuring proper connections and adherence to safety standards.Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including part numbers and quantities.Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain workflow.Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.Construct components, subunits, or simple models and adapt standard equipment.Follow specific layouts and scientific diagrams to construct and package devices and subunits.Conduct tests or experiments, modify test setups, operate test equipment, and record data.Compile engineering data, process data, identify errors, and select presentation methods.Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials.Perform assignments that are not completely standardized, using applicable precedents.Receive initial instructions and perform recurring work independently.Essential SkillsExperience in wire harness assembly.Proficiency in wire processing, cutting, soldering, crimping, and stripping wire.Ability to read schematics and experience with soldering.Experience using a multi-meter.Understanding of NEC or ESD.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious avionics or military experience in electronics.Radio frequency experience is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The facility is climate-controlled and very clean, providing a comfortable work setting. You will work within a small team of 10 technicians under the guidance of two production managers. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break. Occasional overtime may be required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanahan, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
