**Job Title: Electronics Repair Technician** **Shift:** 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Fridays. **Responsibilities** + Evaluate and repair wireless communications products at the board level. + Execute test procedures and test wireless devices using RF test equipment. + Remove faulty components and perform solder replacement, followed by retesting. + Utilize production test procedures to troubleshoot and repair modules and printed circuit boards, with eighty percent of the work being benchwork. + Read and understand PCB layout images, component data sheets, and rework instructions. + Document the results of repairs of defective modules and printed circuit boards, which constitutes ten percent of the role. + Ensure adherence to electrical products handling safety codes and regulations. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of five years of experience with board level troubleshooting and repair. + Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. + Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layout, and assembly documents for electronic printed circuit boards. + Proficiency in surface mount soldering of electrical components on various types of circuit boards and electronic assemblies, including double or multi-layer boards. + Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team. + Comfortable soldering both through-hole and SMT devices, including small 0201 parts and BGAs. + Ability to multitask between two or more projects. + Excellent communication skills. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rolling Meadows, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $55900.00 - $84300.00/yr. - Join a successful and growing company investing in our future success - Flexible work hours - Generous vacation policy - Paid five-week sabbatical every five years - 401(k) matching - Health, dental, vision insurance - Life, short and long-term disability insurance - Employee assistance program - Wellness reimbursement - Charitable giving company match - Competitive salary commensurate with experience and performance - Fun, laid-back culture and rewarding work! **Workplace Type** This is a fully onsite position in Rolling Meadows,IL. **Application Deadline** This position is anticipated to close on Jan 28, 2026. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
