ResponsibilitiesAbility to troubleshoot down to component levelPerform routine calibration of electronic and fiber optic test equipment following established procedures.Diagnose faults with electronic and fiber optic test equipment.Repair and calibrate fiber optic fusion splicing equipment.Maintain documentation pertaining to the service process.Responsible for all calibration, service, and repair of TREND Networks products.Efficiently handle customer products arriving and leaving the service department.Create required certificates, KPI reports, and all other relevant paperwork.Fault find and repair to component level surface mount and conventional PCB assemblies.Fault find and repair fiber optic assemblies.Coordinate with production if required to repair customer units.Schedule work as needed to meet customer deadlines.Thoroughly document all work performed on customer equipment and log each process stage on the company's RMA system.Prepare service quotes/estimates and invoices.Invoice customers for completed work.Prepare shipping documentation for outgoing testers and provide tracking information.Ensure all test and calibration equipment is up-to-date in accordance with quality systems.Control the spare parts warehouse to meet customer needs.Ensure RMAs meet company SLAs.Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the company's products.Make suggestions for departmental improvements.Ensure activities are undertaken and controlled in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS).Perform any other tasks as required for the business.Essential SkillsElectronics certification2 years of experience working with electronic equipment or instrumentsExperience in repair and calibration of electronic equipment or instrumentsAdditional Skills & QualificationsCertified Production Technician (CPT) or equivalentHigh School Diploma/GEDExperience with optical and fiber optic technologies – fusion splicingUse of an ERP or RMA systemUnderstanding of circuit schematics and troubleshooting methodsExperience with oscilloscope and DMMProficient in Microsoft Office Packages – WORD and EXCELAbility to inspect and recognize defective productsUnderstanding of working within a Quality Management System environmentPLEASE APPLY IMMEDIATELY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE!Pay and Benefits
