Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking an Electronic Technician – 2nd Shift – Level 2 to join our team in Chandler, AZ.     

This position is fully on-site.  Relocation is not available.

With moderate supervision the Electronic Technician 2 will be responsible for the acceptance testing of a variety of cable assemblies and related devices.  Guidance is readily available from superiors and leads.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Performing Continuity and Isolation testing, Contact Separation and Retention testing and Hi-pot testing. 

Use of a variety of test and measurement instrumentation such as multimeters, power supplies, function generators and oscilloscopes is required. 

Routine use of applications including analog, digital and/or logic systems.

Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building and environmental testing.

Perform routine operational tests and fault isolation to ensure conformance with design specifications.

Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to component level.

Conduct defined tests and collect data as assigned.

Excludes trainees with no academic preparation or experience.

Successful candidate will train on 1st shift and transition to 2nd

Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.   

No clearance required to start

Knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of test and measurement instrumentation such as multimeters, power supplies, function generators and oscilloscopes

Ability to read and follow schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans

Familiarity with analog, digital and/or logic systems

Able and willing to work 2nd shift

 Preferred Qualifications:  

Active or ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance

Aerospace and Defense experience

ATP / environmental testing and experience using Automated Testing Equipment

Primary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
