Are you in? **Primary Purpose** Under direction, installs, maintains, and repairs communication equipment and related equipment. Performs all radio work. Investigates customer radio interference complaints **Primary Duties** + Installs, tests, calibrates, adjusts, maintains, repairs, places in proper operating condition, and performs other related work in connection with the operation of communication equipment and related equipment owned or maintained by the Company. + Performs all radio work and maintains all test records in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Federal Communications Commission. + Locates, by means of appropriate test equipment, sources of radio and television interference - + Directs the work of and instructs others assigned to assist him. - + May be required to perform other related or less skilled work. - + Receives and clears permits from the System Operator when issuance of such permits is necessary. + Must become thoroughly familiar with the Company’s electrical switching, tagging rules and grounding procedures. + Performs all switching related to their work. - + Makes wiring modifications to equipment installed by other departments. - + Operates automobile, van or light truck. - + Performs all work in accordance with Company guidelines - + Performs necessary job-related clerical work. **Job Scope** **Minimum Qualifications** + High school diploma (or equivalent), plus an Associates (at least 2 year) degree in Telecommunications or Telecommunications Technology (or equivalent). This degree and/or equivalent should include but not limited to the following: communication systems and equipment; network systems and equipment; electrical circuits and computer concepts. + Average eyesight and hearing. Must not be color blind. Ability to distinguish different color-coded wires. + Must pass NERC background check. + Must be willing and able to work extra and/or irregular hours and be willing to work under unusual or special conditions. Must be willing and able to work overtime on a regular basis and must be available for callout overtime. + Must possess the appropriate vehicle operator's license. + Must maintain a valid FCC General Radio-Telephone License or successfully completed the National Association of Business and Educational Radio (NABER) Technician Certification Examination, or ISCET (International Society of Certified Electronic Technicians Certification). + Reads, writes and communicates effectively in the English language. **Preferred Qualifications** **Benefits** + Hourly rates will be paid in accordance with terms of the candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience or collective bargaining agreement: $58.10/Hr. + Annual Bonus for eligible positions: 4% + 401(k) match and annual company contribution + Medical, dental and vision insurance + Life and disability insurance + Generous paid time off options, including vacation, sick time, floating and fixed holidays, maternity leave and bonding/primary caregiver leave or parental leave + Employee Assistance Program and resources for mental and emotional support + Wellbeing programs such as tuition reimbursement, adoption and surrogacy assistance and fitness reimbursement + Referral bonus program + And much more Note: Exelon-sponsored compensation and benefit programs may vary or not apply based on length of service, job grade, job classification or represented status.
