Position Shining Point:
This position will work in CRDC Wuxi Engine & Power System team to lead or participate in technical
analysis for engine control system or alternative power source, generate requirements/specifications for
new hardware & software features or change in hardware & software features.
The work scope is included but not limited in electronics control system specification development,
concept, design, analysis, validation, production release and after-production engineering support of
power source system solutions for Cat heavy-duty equipment products.
Job Description: (Please prioritize work):
1. Develop electronics system control logic and architecture, perform control schematic
2. Performing spec reviews with system engineers to confirm electronics control software
requirement
3. Work closely with NPI and to define customer requirement, participate in concept design, design
review, engine and machine validation, field test during product development
4. Understand HIL validation process, which include test bench setup, create test plan, perform test
base on requirement, summarize and analysis test result
5. Working with System engineers to test and troubleshoot new software features in lab
6. Provide factory support to Cat engine / machine facility, troubleshooting on factory stations and hot test issue, Hardware, Harness, ECM support
7. Cost reduction for electrical system and continue product improvement
8. Develop alternative power source solution for future clean power source solution
Requirement:
1. Bachelor degree or above in Engine/Vehicle engineering or electronics control related
engineering
2. Knowledge of engine or machine E&E architecture and control system
3. Position requires excellent system control knowledge, learning quickly and willing to learn new
technology
4. Skills on dSpace test bench, CANape/CANalyzer tools, HIL validation and automation testing.
5. Knowledge of software development including C/C++/Python and Matlab/simulink model
development or other relative SW skills
6. 3D design experience, preferred Pro/E or Creo
7. Good people interaction, teamwork, oral and written communication skills are required.
