Job Description
This position provides engineering and field support for the Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) system and related systems within the Power System Control Technical Services group.
Provide technical SCADA engineering support and expertise to field technicians, design engineers, and construction crews.Assist in developing maintenance standards and work guides for technician crews, utilizing asset management and maintenance database tools, prioritizing safety.Draft and review procedures for the installation, use, and troubleshooting of SCADA-related hardware and software.Validate data integration between field and control center systems in collaboration with control center personnel.Investigate and analyze operating problems with complex electronic systems and recommend corrective actions.Contribute to planning and design documentation related to new equipment and technology.Prepare detailed system specifications, including diagrams and recommended technologies.Evaluate and support test equipment used for SCADA systems.Prepare training curriculum and exercises for SCADA systems, acting as a teaching assistant for delivery to end users.Monitor and guide supply chain staff regarding spare parts levels for SCADA equipment.Review and recommend actions for the disposition of equipment.Participate in engineering studies and collaborate on projects.Compile and distribute technical results on system performance and equipment outages.Coordinate service plans with stakeholders and implement approved plans.Draft work statements and manage manufacturer/vendor maintenance support agreements.Provide project updates to management.
Qualifications
Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.5+ years of experience with SCADA or related industrial control systems.2 years of experience in designing, installing, or maintaining industrial control systems.1 year of experience with industrial control protocols such as DNP3, Modbus, or OPC.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.Experience in utility or industrial environments.Experience with SCADA systems and protocols.2 years of experience with Process Automation and Instrumentation.Hands-on experience with Remote Terminal Unit platforms and associated protocols.Knowledge of Linux operating system and Python programming.Experience in developing HMI/MMI interfaces.Experience in conducting training or workshops.Work Environment
The work environment includes a slower-paced office with somewhat flexible hours, typically starting at 7 AM. Business casual attire is expected. Work is often independent with minimal supervision and is deadline-driven. The role requires waiting on approvals and paperwork completion at times.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
