Job Description

This position requires a highly skilled industrial electrician with at least five years of experience. The role involves performing planned maintenance on computers, microprocessors, and PLC-based equipment, including their remote hardware and interface equipment. You will respond to breakdowns, perform inspections, modifications, and coordinate with supervision and planning for scheduling downtime as needed to maintain assigned systems. Additionally, you will collaborate with crews in all areas to solve problems or troubleshoot inoperative or malfunctioning equipment, maintain records, update prints, manuals, and diagrams, and provide recommendations for preventing problem recurrence. Assisting in the training of electricians is also part of the role.

ResponsibilitiesConduct planned maintenance on computers, microprocessors, and PLC-based equipment.Respond to breakdowns and troubleshoot equipment issues.Coordinate with supervision and planning for scheduling downtime.Collaborate with crews to solve equipment problems.Maintain records and update documentation.Assist in training electricians.Essential Skills5+ years industrial maintenance electrician experience.Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.Experience with preventive maintenance and inspections.Capability to perform electrical troubleshooting and repair.Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsHeavy PLC experience, including low voltage PLC intercommunication.Troubleshooting VFD and PLCs.Diagnose and repair PLCs.Preferred to have own tools, but not required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a high-speed oil production facility that is non-climate controlled, becoming very hot in summer. The maintenance team consists of 10 people, working closely with a total team size of 50 onsite. Flexibility is required as hours may vary. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, a work shirt, and eventually a company uniform. All other PPE is provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57.65 - $62.10/hr.
