Job Description:

Spherion is looking for an Assembler to join our team. This person will contribute to the company’s success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.

Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end productsAble to follow verbal and written instruction maintaining a focus on qualityFollows an engineering assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align partsUses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenchesMaintains consistent quality and productivity levelsUses Microsoft Office programsMaintains neat and clean work area Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements Performs some hand soldering on electronic assembliesWillingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production state of the art environmentWorks as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasksTraversing across the production floor for the duration of their shiftAble to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and Bills of Material

Education: Associate Degree

Requires a High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Experience: 48 months

Physical:

Able to transport up to 30 lbs

Skills:

Electrical background at the component level.Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the clients continuous improvement process.J-STD-001, IPC-610.Mechanical or electrical assembly experience to include Soldering.

Related Experience: Assembler, Electrical Assembler, Electronics Assembler, Transformer Assembler
