About the Role

As an Electro‑Mechanic, you will perform advanced electrical, mechanical, and PLC‑based work on all manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate can program, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs while proactively maintaining plant electrical systems, motors, drives, and power transmission components. Open to candidates who may not have much PLC experience or just basic troubleshooting, as long as they have strong electrical and mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing facility. This is a hands‑on role for a technician who enjoys solving complex problems and improving equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Install, program, troubleshoot, and repair PLC systems. (Preferred but not required)Maintain and repair plant electrical systems, electronics, motors, drives, and power transmission systems.Design and assemble control circuits and control cabinets with user interfaces.Analyze machinery for automation upgrades and improvements.Troubleshoot and specify motor drives.Maintain and service plant switchgear.Track and log barrel and screw inventory, changes, history, and throughput.Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems throughout the facility.Recognize when tasks require additional support and escalate appropriately.Essential Skills & QualificationsIndustrial mechanical and electrical maintenance experience.Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, preventive maintenance, and blueprint reading.Proficiency in conduit work, AC/DC systems, and machine repair.Associate Degree in Electronics or equivalent technical training.3–5 years of practical electronics experience.Experience designing and assembling control circuits and cabinets.Why You’ll Love Working HereQuarterly and annual performance bonuses — your hard work is rewarded consistently.Monday–Friday 1st shift — predictable schedule and work‑life balance.Work in a facility with a near perfect safety record and multiple safety awards.Competitive pay based on experience.Opportunities for technical growth and advancement.Supportive, team‑oriented environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75379.00 - $84510.00/yr.

Medical/Dental/Vision – eligible on day 1\nVacation eligible first year (pro-rated); second year 80 hours (willing to negotiate vacation in offer)\nFloating Holiday eligible first year (pro-rated); second year 24 hours\nPaid Holidays (time and half for all hours worked on Company observed federal holiday)\n401K matching up to 4%; annual employer contribution 3% (if employee contributes 4%, Westlake will match that plus the 3% they already contribute. Total of 11%)\nQuarterly Incentive Program – earn up to 8% of quarterly earnings (includes OT)\nAnnual Profit Sharing up to 5% of annual base pay\nLife Insurance - employer cover up to 2x base pay\nAD&D insurance - employer cover up to 2x base pay\nPaid Caregiver Leave – up to 5 days per year for Caregiver Leave (i.e. taking eligible family member to doctor’s appointment); up to 2 weeks per year for Parental Leave\nPaid Short-term and Long-term Disability\nQuarterly Steak Cookout (if no OSHA recordable incidents)
