We are seeking an electromechanical technician skilled in using hand and power tools to assemble both robust metal structures and delicate electronics assemblies. The ideal candidate has experience with a wide range of tools and is motivated to enhance their skills to produce high-quality outputs. You should maintain a tidy and well-organized workspace, keep detailed records of your work, and recognize that doing a job well the first time is more efficient in the long run.
ResponsibilitiesAssemble robust metal structures such as tube frames and sheet metal.Assemble delicate electronics assemblies, including PCBs and small-gauge wiring.Perform soldering for assembly and repair of wires, through-hole, and surface mount components.Conduct mechanical assembly using hand and power tools, including drilling, tapping, deburring, filing, and sanding.Perform cable assembly, including stripping, crimping, testing, and strain relieving.Apply good ESD practices while assembling sensitive electronic components into a system.Engage in purchasing, inventory planning, and management.Troubleshoot hardware issues and test equipment functionality.Essential SkillsProficiency in soldering for assembly and repair of wires, through-hole, and surface mount components.Experience in mechanical assembly with hand and power tools, including drilling, tapping, deburring, filing, and sanding.Ability to perform cable assembly, including stripping, crimping, testing, and strain relieving.Knowledge of good ESD practices for assembling sensitive electronic components.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with purchasing and inventory management.Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and test equipment.Work EnvironmentWork involves using various hand and power tools in a structured environment.
