Electromechanical Technician
**Job Title: Electromechanical Technician** **Job Description** Apply logic and reasoning with best practice electromechanical principles to troubleshoot and repair plant equipment failures as required to minimize manufacturing disruptions. Evaluate the condition of equipment components against manufacturer’s specifications and repair or replace as necessary to ensure equipment operates at its intended design capabilities and rates. **Responsibilities** + Utilize technical manuals and drawings to apply logical troubleshooting and repair of unfamiliar equipment/systems. + Interact and communicate professionally and cooperatively with others throughout the facility. + Complete preventative maintenance tasks as defined by CMMS and communicate/record abnormalities for follow-up. + Record all work done and spare parts used in CMMS daily, including generating, commenting on, and closing work orders. + Comply with all plant GMP, HACCP, and Safety regulations and guidelines. + Report abnormalities immediately and seek help from co-workers or supervisors if unfamiliar with how to resolve a problem. + Communicate the status of unresolved equipment issues to co-workers or supervisors for the incoming shift. + Partner with outside service technicians and contractors to troubleshoot, make repairs, installations, and modifications. + Participate in new equipment installation and commissioning projects. + Assist machine operators with technically complex tasks related to machine/product changeovers to ensure timely startup and efficient operation. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. + Experience with electromechanical repair and maintenance. + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics. + Skilled in PLC troubleshooting and wiring. + Experience with preventative maintenance and installation of machinery. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial electromechanical maintenance technician role. + Experience with PLC controls, pneumatics, servos, VFDs, hydraulic, and general mechanical power transmission components. + Ability to interpret and extract technical information from equipment documentation. + Familiarity with Microsoft software products. + Additional trade skills such as machining, welding, fabrication, steam systems, and HVAC systems are a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team in the chocolate manufacturing industry, where you will have the opportunity to utilize and expand your technical skills.
