Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled assembler to read technical drawings and assemble equipment such as power distribution units, static transfer switches, energy storage systems, and other integrated products.

Responsibilities

Assemble complete products or subassemblies to specifications by understanding and following electrical schematics, CAD models, part drawings, and bills of material.Interpret standard documentation and techniques and apply them to custom applications based on existing products.Create point-to-point control and power wiring based on schematics, which could include crimping, soldering, and the creation of wiring harnesses.Electrically assemble new variants of existing products, including minor mechanical assembly.Understand and apply best practices for electro-static discharge handling requirements where necessary.Inspect parts for flaws and imperfections and identify any missing parts from assemblies.Recommend improvements in products, processes, and practices.Work safely in accordance with Health and Safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.Adhere to all ISO 9001 policies and procedures.Keep all work areas clean and organized and exhibit flexibility to assist in other areas of production based on production needs.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in assembly, electrical work, hand tools, wiring, schematic and blueprint reading, electrical and mechanical assembly.Experience with control panels, power tools, panel wiring, and wiring diagrams.Assembly experience in production, soldering, crimping, and using a tape measure.Familiarity with hand and power tools, both mechanical and electrical.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma and previous work experience in a similar role required.Mechanical or electro-mechanical diploma from a Community College or equivalent is an asset.Knowledgeable in the use of common hand tools and portable power tools such as drills and impact drivers.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Job-specific training may be required (e.g., forklift, overhead crane, safety training).Professional verbal and written communication with other employees.Excellent manual dexterity.Some use of computers may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
