**Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler** **Job Description**
As an Electromechanical Assembler, you will work in a dynamic production environment adhering to ISO9001 and AS9100 standards and procedures. Your role involves aligning, fitting, and assembling component parts into completed units using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and templates. You will verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure they conform to blueprint specifications, employing instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. You will also read and comprehend engineered drawings, diagrams, and work instructions, strictly following ESD and FOD policies. Additionally, you will solder and de-solder electronic components on SMT PCBs and collaborate closely with Operations Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Test Technicians, and Quality Engineers as a key member of the Manufacturing Team.
**Responsibilities**
+ Align, fit, and assemble component parts into completed units using hand tools and power tools.
+ Verify dimensions and clearances of parts using precision measuring instruments.
+ Read and comprehend engineered drawings, diagrams, and work instructions.
+ Adhere to ESD and FOD policies.
+ Solder and de-solder electronic components on SMT PCBs.
+ Collaborate with team members including Operations Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Test Technicians, and Quality Engineers.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
+ Experience with PCB boards and soldering.
+ Understanding of ISO 9001 standards.
+ Ability to read engineered drawings and diagrams.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Must document US citizenship for secret clearance eligibility.
+ High school diploma or GED with 3 years of relevant industry or equivalent military experience.
+ Technical skills in electronics and mechanical assembly.
+ Experience in defense electronics or aerospace avionics manufacturing or related military experience is a plus.
+ IPC certifications are advantageous, especially SMT Solder Under microscope IPC 610 class 3 and J-STD-001.
+ Knowledge of MS Office and ERP/MRP programs like Deltek Costpoint is a plus.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Annapolis Junction, MD.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
